Hi All.
As some of you are aware there was a mention of a proposed 2m repeater for the Stirling Area to be located at the club.
The application is nearly completed but before I send it to the Proposals Manager I need 3 volenteers to put down as Shutdown operators. It would be preferrable if these were existing key holders of the club. If the repeater application passes then the repeater would be able to be shutdown remotely with DTMF.

Hi All.
The Proposal application for the 2m repeater in Stirling has been submitted to the Repeater Management Committee, they have acknowledged the application but before they can advance it to the next stage they need some proof that the application has the backing of the local radio community.
If you are in support of this project can you please e-mail me and I can pass it onto the RMC so the application can be processed to the next level.

Hi all
Thanks for your input, its a case of wait and see now.
The RMC have allocated 145.700 MHz and the callsign will hopefully be GB3FE.
I have attached the predicted coverage of the repeater onto this message.

Good coverage and i should get it from the home QTH also fills in a bit more of the map. http://www.ukrepeater.net/channels/maps/2m-hi.jpg should allow handy tallky 2m usage in and around Stirling Magic:bigg

Yep thanks to all who helped today.
When time premits we can have another coverage test with the antenna fitted.
Neil and myself plotted our findings onto a Microsoft Map Point Map of the area, I will upload it later.
I have made some progress on the logic front too :mrgr, I configured it for GB3FE G STIRLING and a CTCSS tone of 103.5 Hz, its still fitted to the spare GB3OH Repeater, it was wierd hearing GB3FE on GB3OH's channel :scratch, but it's into a dummy load (honestly hihi :evil)
If there is enough interest I can create a seperate area on the BBS for progress reports on the repeater.
