to day John fsv and I managed to get the collinear up on the tower and a temporary run of coax into the shack :mrgr
signal levels on cs and ff are down :sad: but everything else we heard is up :scratch

Wullie managed to get the logic connected to the repeater and the audio output roughly set up

please note the coax run is miles too long but its my coax and i need it that length for another project so please don't cut it :evil

If we arrange to get the LDF 450 from Wullie for next weekend we can see about getting a permanent run.

Before the coax gets cut ;) or it gets any damage wiggling about.

Do you think the antenna is damaged ? or any sections in the array are not active ?

temporary coax had a bit too much loss (13db) :cry: so i chopped it and the loss is now down to 4.9 db with a bit of an increase in signal levels

crappy coax now replaced with less crappy coax and another increase in signal strength

Thats good news Neil, it will hopefully be better with the LDF450 installed in place of the coax and we can do another coverage test.
