Hi all.

The repeater went on the air tonight at 21:30 and went off the air at about 21:45 :scratch
Then back on the air at 22:45 for about 10 mins.
The repeater keeps blowing one of the fuses on the front panel, I think it has blown the other one now . Think 10A fuses are cutting it a little fine, will need to upgrade to 15A fuses.

If I get a chance tomorrow I will pop in during my lunch break and measure the current on TX with the fan on.

On the later visit to the club I reduced the squelch threshold as well.
Neil HZI was able to work into the repeater from his work QTH in Glasgow so the repeater working.
Will adjust the squelch for more hysteresis also which will help with mobile flutter.
Will keep you updated.
Keep an ear open on 145.6625

Have done the mod on the squelch and it seems to work fine.
The last TX filter was installed and I gave the repeater a try using a single antenna and circulator.
All seems to work ok with the single antenna, but do'nt think its worthwhile using the single antenna until the LDF is replaced and the antenna is re-located.
The first day of operation seems to be a sucess with stations calling in from Edinburgh and Paisley :razz

Hi Wullie

Just a couple of signal reports, about s3 in Loanhead,Midlothian, also worked you for about 20 secs on top of Middleton Moor on the A7 down to Galashiels about s7 there.

Interested to note how you modded the cavity filters with the anti-resonant notch,if the ones you have have n-type sockets, you can fit a couple of n-type tee pieces and fit the capacitor or piece on wire outside the cavity if required...

This is a good site.

I guess you know this all already anyway !

Hi Jim thanks for the message.

One of the club members has done the Oxley cap modification for us yesterday and using the MFJ analyser its resonant on 2m, I have not had a chance to try it on the sweep generator yet but hopefully will have a go at it on Tuesday when I have access to the test gear again. I will let you all know the results

Thanks for the link, it looks like an interesting site, I will have a proper look at it today :stud

Cheers
