Hi all.
GB3FE was taken off air earilier today as it appears to have gone deaf.
The elastic threads in the ferrite cores had perished through time and the cores had moved, the elastics have how been replaced and the entire repeater re-alligned.
The repeater is still on two antennas at the moment, it is anticipated that the final antenna work will be carried out in the Spring, this work includes replacing the coax with LDF4-50 and tweeking the filters and circulator. As some of you will appriciate I have had my hands full with family matters at the moment but hopefully I will get a chance to get some further repeater(s) development work done in the near future, which includes an IRLP link if the club wishes to go down that route.
In the meantime GB3FE is on the air and working, so please use it whenever possible, it has been noted on other repeaters that there has been a lack of use etc..
