This is a contest I have missed on past few years but I would like to have a go at it this year.

It is last weekend in September and I will be setting it up over that weekend for M2 (2 transmitter, multiple band) use and there should always be an open chair to use. Subject to no objections and equipment availability of course.

Anyone interested please let me know well in advance. If no interest I can do it elsewhere and leave the club available for other activities.

CQWW SSB follows at end of October and CQWW CW end of November which will be setup in a similar way.

CQWW RTTY.

I will be operating Sat 26th and Sun 27th September as I have never did it before.

Anyone is welcome along for a play.

It’s a nice mix of man, radio and PC.

Anyone is welcome to see it running, please let me know so I can plan to setup 1 or 2 stations, currently only one is planned.

Well, not so many calls but it was suprisingly enjoyable as far as keyboard driving goes ;-)

Probably the longest I have ever operated for in many a year and definately a record for time actually staying still :cool

Will update the log to mebers area as soon as i filter it out.

Yip, it was fun, I am not usually an operating guy, much happier to just pitch in, do sh#t and get the old hands dirty.

Then eat the food and drink the beer ...... :chee

But that operating was fun, I really wish I had went for the whole 48 hours now instead of just a couple of afternoons, the score would have been really good.

Was nice also to hear GM5A on the air, which I guess was probably Tom as he likes his RTTY and did it for a few years under te GM6NX and his own call as well as being the one who originally interested me in the RTTY contest.
