CQWW SSB Event

Over this weekend the CQWW SSB contest will be taking place.

Although difficult due to planning at very short notice, the event will be running at GM6NX with hopefully 4 stations.

There is still plenty to be organised this week to make that happen but its starting to look that all things will be done on time.

Some operators will be starting off from just after midnight Friday and of course the event is open to everyone. There will be many operators participating over the weekend that have not operated in contests before, so please don't be nervous about visiting or taking part.

Some refreshements and scoffs will be available but not on the same scale as it was for T_2006.

Anyone visiting is of course welcome to involve themselves as little or as much as they wish but please don't let any seats remain empty for too long!

So if anyone is genuinly interested in operating a radio in a contest situation or just observing and having some fun at the same time please feel free to drop in anytime over the weekend.

Lots of fun and still plenty time left to pay a visit

Things are going quite well despite difficult circumstances and not haveing all equipment in place on time but plenty laughs just the same.

Great weekend although I only managed on Sunday .A couple of minor problems but on the whole a smooth operation computer network worked without a hitch even forgive the so and so that ate all the chilli burgers on Saturday.Good to see the enthusiastic response from the club thanks to all the members who participated.
