Hi all.

For the second time it appears that the application for an IRLP node for GB3FE has either not got through to them by e-mail or has been ignored .
I will try to submit it by post and see how it goes.

So much for e-mail :scratch

Will keep you all advised.

Wullie

If its an issue with having no station address at the node location then let me know.

I will just have the location registered as a club station as a NOV to my license (same idea as 6NX), there should be no issue there, might make the application easier.

E-mailed them tonight, the application has been passed onto OFCOM and is awaiting their approval, should here something from them within the next week or so.

There was a small issue on the NOV but thanks to an extremely helpful Ofcom the NOV was ammended on the phone and sent out next day.

The NOV has now been corrected for unattended operation so should be available 24/7.

So its down to building the hardware now and getting it installed and off we will go ;-)

Hi all

Yep, the IRLP Node is getting there.

Have found all the parts from my old IRLP Node, but I scrapped the PC when I moved QTH a few years ago, but I kept the interface card (as it was expensive lol), the HDD, CD and FDD.

I found some time today after work to get a rough modification to a Philips FM1100 for an external squelch line so the radio is nearly ready, all that needs done is for the radio interface cable to be made up, which hopefully be done tomorrow night...

We need to source a suitable power supply for the radio, something in the region of 7A ish should be ok.

IRLP need to be installed onto a network ready PC so I will collect the PC and make a start over the next few days if I get time at night.
