My FT100D had been deaf on 2m since it came out of the box.

I got an email from someone asking me to write down what all the hidden factory set menus were set to as someone had mucked around with his one.
When I looked at them the RF gain on 2m was set to 166 out of a total possible of 255.
I turned it up and the radio now functions normally.

These are hidden menus.
You access them by holiding in buttrons A, B and C and pressing the on switch, then go into the menus as normal and go down the way, you get f1-f59.

They are set in the factory and should be correct but obviously the 2m RF gain was not in this case.

the s meter was only lazy because i reset it to the factory setting before i sold it to you

gordon before you change any more settings take a note ofg the factory settings as they are different for every radio
failure to do so may leave you  or:puke
