After a discussion with Gordon one of the visitors on Thursday and further investigation of this radio project a few club members are interested in building this transceiver. This Transceiver has performance figures up there with the Orion and Icom 7800, and new FT9000 and blows the K2 out the water! ( It doesn't really but I feel some poetic license is required).

fed up listening to pops and crackles, phase noise and not being able to hear the dx everyone else is hearing?

Do you want a K2 Cruncher or an Orion beater for a 1/3rd of the cost read on.

It is hoped that we can get PCB's , components, case etc custom built for this project. Once we know how many people are interested, we can get on with the job.

This might just be the project the club is looking for to fill in the dark winter nights and relieve us all from our SAD!

If interested in building one for yourself can you let me know.

Gordon

This project never came to fruition locally and was never built.

Was the source code for the PIC ever released ????

If the code is available it might be possible to easilly change the dispaly controller but if its not structured well, it could be quite a bit of work to do.

HI Folks,
I am in the process of building the CDG2000 project and I too have hit the display problem. I would be interested in having a get together on the project and also swapping any ideas on how to get round the problems.
